How did I get into chiropractic care? Not all of my patients know my story, so I wanted to share why I chose to be a chiropractor. I can say that my experience with chiropractic healing was a very personal one and quite eye opening.
Background In Chiropractic
I started receiving chiropractic care after a football injury in high school. That injury led to multiple stays in the hospital, but with only temporary results. Although I didn’t know much about chiropractic, I decided to see a chiropractor to see if I could benefit from treatment. At that time chiropractic was probably a little more of an alternative treatment than it is today. However, anyone that has experienced intense back or joint pain can attest that alternatives are welcome if they work.
That’s exactly what happened in my case. My first adjustment gave me immediate relief. I was amazed. My own personal experience and positive results through the healing of chiropractic care led me to my career and personal calling to serve others in the healthcare industry.
My Calling to Chiropractic
I truly feel blessed to be a part of the Ringgold, GA community serving as a chiropractor. On my desk I have what I call “My Call to Chiropractic,” which reminds me of my mission. It states, “It wasn’t a dramatic voice of God, but more of a compulsion, a deep desire to serve people — even minister to people — through the healing art of Chiropractic.” This calling was an intense feeling that this is what I have to do with my life. For me, it’s like an artist who has to paint or a musician that has to play music. I have a calling to adjust spines and help others find pain relief and optimal spine and joint (and over-all body) health through chiropractic.
Whatever your mission in life is, I hope you also will have the privilege as I have had, to follow your dreams and make a difference in the lives of others.
